About Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurants and Bars
Our Food and Menus
Our main menu, which includes non-fish options, vegetarian options and children’s choices, is the same for both restaurants, but the daily specials for starters, main courses and sweets will differ for Dover and Hythe according to the morning’s catch, the chef’s choice and the way that his imagination takes him on the day.
See our daily specials section for information on extra choices and also special events. All food is from sustainable sources and Griggs of Hythe bring daily deliveries of fish caught along this south east coast as well as speciality fish which may come from further afield e.g. Scottish salmon. Kentish growers provide local produce and our ice-creams and sorbets are from Simply Ice Cream, the prize winning Aldington-based company which is making a national name for itself.
About Our Restaurants
Turrloo Parrett, who owns the prestigious Eastwell Manor Country House Hotel and Spa at Ashford, is determined to see his Hythe Bay Restaurants flourish in the same way. ‘Quality not Compromise’ is his motto. Diners can expect a warm welcome as well as complimentary freshly baked bread rolls and freshly made fish paté.
Turrloo is pictured here at the opening of the Hythe Bay Restaurant at Dover.
Both Dover and Hythe Restaurants are really family- friendly in terms of our children's menu and safe proximity to the beach.

On Saturdays there is live music to dine by in both restaurants.

About Our Staff
All our staff are trained to offer a warm welcome, efficient service and an informed response to customer questions about the food and wine served.

Our chefs believe in letting the quality of the ingredients shine through and in providing exciting, but not over-fussy dishes.

Our Wine List
Anthony Byrne Fine Wines, suppliers to Eastwell Manor, have provided some interesting and unusual choices for our wine list. The wines are chosen to complement the dishes served. No serious fish menu would be complete without the addition of a Picpoul de Pinet made from grapes harvested from vineyards growing right by the sea and the oyster beds of the Languedoc area of France. Picpoul and shellfish are made for each other.
